BEND RETREAT

WHY IT’S SO GREAT HERE!

You are truly in the heart of Central Oregon and close to some of the best attractions that Bend and Central Oregon have to offer. Our family has been visiting Bend and Sunriver for over 20 years, where we have some of our fondest family memories. Whether you like to ski, hike, bike, golf, raft, paddle-board, or just get some R&R. You’ve come to the best spot. Here are some of our family’s favorite places to visit:

MT BACHELOR

Renowned ski resort. If you plan to ski, snowboard, nordic ski, or snowshoe, you don’t want to miss it! Plus it’s a great place to hike/bike in the summer. The Palmer lift chair runs in the summer taking you up to the lodge with some panoramic views. Great place to take kids for a short hike and have lunch.

SUNRIVER

A resort town with cute little shops, tons of bike trails, golf courses, horse rides, bumper cars, and bouncy castles in the summer and an ice rink in the winter. Check out our favorite ice cream shop, Goody’s Chocolate & Ice Cream Shop. And if you love to Golf there are two premier golf courses.

THE DESCHUTES

The Big Bend access point Deschutes River is less than 1/4 mile up South Century. The Deschutes River is the heartbeat of this area! Rafting, floating, or running along the banks, this river offers everything. Just be ready for a cold plunge!

BEND

During your stay, you definitely will want to head into Bend, famous for its craft breweries and great atmosphere. Head into downtown to visit some great local shops, or spend the day shopping and dining at the Old Mill along the banks of the Deschutes river.

LA MAISON MCMINNVILLE

HISTORIC 3rd STREET

The popular, historic 3rd street is just a block away from the La Maison! It has a ton of restaurants, wine-tasting rooms, and fun, local shopping. On weekends during peak season, you will be sure to also enjoy live music and festivals on the street.

 WINE TOURS

If you are looking for wine tours, restaurant recommendations, or local things to do, James Tate from NW Food & Gifts is happy to help. He can also create a custom itinerary for you. His number is 503-407-5854.

KIDS’ FUN

If you are looking for something fun to do with kids, Wings & Waves, a huge indoor waterpark, is a blast and located really close at 460 NE Captain Michael King Smith Way, McMinnville and right next door is the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum.

MOUNTAIN CABIN

3 RESORTS – ONE MOUNTAIN

Staying at the Mountain Cabin, you are on the doorstep of Mt. Hood. As Oregon’s grandest peak, Mt. Hood is home to three incredible and diverse ski resorts. Timberline Lodge and Ski Area is the only ski-in in lodge in the state, Mt. Hood Skibowl has the largest night skiing terrain in the United States and Mt. Hood Meadows offers more than 2,150 acres of skiing.
Conveniently located 90 mins from Portland International Airport. You can ski with locals, enjoy a beer at a craft brewery, hike the trails through old growth forests and experience what makes Oregon a truly special place.
